Susan Lerner, MSW, LICSW, is the owner of West Acton Psychotherapy and Consultation. Susan brings 30 years of clinical experience to her practice. She works with adolescents, adults, couples and families whose lives have been impacted by adversity.

As a therapist Susan specializes in trauma, dissociation and attachment therapy. She believes that for therapy to be transformative, her clients need to feel comfortable and well-supported. Susan develops a foundation of trust with her clients by implementing a range of innovative and evidenced-based therapies and attachment models. In addition, Susan provides clinical supervision/consultation for other therapists.

As a parenting coach and consultant, Susan integrates parent-child psychotherapy models and her own experience raising three children to help parents develop important skills.Through her coaching, Susan helps families understand each other, strengthen their ability to connect, accept one another, and develop a sense of playfulness and enjoyment. Susan also presents to schools and community organizations on a wide range of parenting topics.
